It is composed of approximately 60% nickel and 15% chromium, with the remainder typically being iron and other trace elements. This alloy is widely used in the manufacturing of electrical resistance heating elements, such as in electric ovens, toasters, and industrial furnaces. Ni60Cr15 offers high resistivity, excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and good mechanical properties, making it well-suited for applications where heat generation is required.
