Inconel alloy X-750 (UNS N07750/W. Nr. 2.4669) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy used for its corrosion and oxidation resistance and high strength at temperatures to 1300°F. Although much of the effect of precipitation hardening is lost with increasing temperature over 1300°F, heat-treated material has useful strength up to 1800°F. Alloy X-750 also has excellent properties down to cryogenic termperatures.

Application field:
High temperature components, such as turbine blades, guide vanes, turbine disks, high pressure compressor disks,machine manufacturing and combustion chambers used in the manufacture of aviation, naval and industrial gas turbines.

Inconel600 is suitable for use with any traditional welding process with the same material or other metals, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub arc welding, metal inert gas shielded welding, and melting inert gas shielded welding, with pulse arc welding being the preferred method. When using manual arc welding, it is recommended to use a protective gas mixture of multiple components such as (Ar+He+H2+CO2).

Welding of Incoloy 825 must be done in the annealed state, and stainless steel wire brushes should be used to clean stains, dust, and various marks. When welding at the root of the weld joint, extreme care must be taken to achieve the best root weld quality (99.99% argon), so that no oxides are produced in the weld joint after root welding. The colors produced in the heat-affected zone during welding should be removed with a stainless steel brush before the welded area has cooled down.
