Product Description

Ni80cr20 Electrical Furnace Nicr 80/20 Nichrome 8020 Electric Heating Resistance Wire

NiCr8020, with the material number 2.4869, is utilized in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, and wires for constructing furnace components and heating elements. This nickel-chromium alloy is specifically designed for heating conductors and can operate at temperatures up to 1150 °C. Often, it includes rare earth additives to enhance its resistance to oxidation, particularly in applications involving frequent switching or wide temperature fluctuations.

At 20 °C, its resistance to atmospheric corrosion is high, and it maintains a high resistance to air, other oxygen-containing gases, and nitrogen-containing low-oxygen gases up to its maximum operating temperature. However, its resistance is lower to oxidizing and reducing gases that contain sulfur.
